ugh now i want the teen wolf AU where derek is king arthur and boyd is lancelot, only playing on the like, welp-i-pulled-the-sword-out-of-the-stone-by-accident school of thought as taught to me by that disney movie i watched at a formative age

like, derek comes to camelot all “rrgh angst my family is dead i’m just so ANGRY that i could pull on the SWORD in this STONE to work out my FRUSTRA—shit did it come out of the stone, oh shit it came out of the stone” 

so derek is like, ~SUDDENLY KING~, and the entire castle hates him because seriously can you imagine how irritating it would be to suffer a regime change over someone yanking a sword out of a stone by accident i mean come on

BUT BOYD!LANCELOT SEES POTENTIAL IN HIM AND IS LIKE, WELL I MEAN I GUESS I COULD TAKE YOU UNDER MY WING AND STUFF, SINCE YOU CLEARLY NEED SOME HELP and also because no one else in this castle seems to recognize the merit of getting in with the king before he gets good at kinging seriously i’m only a young knight but BY GOD I’M GONNA BE A POWERFUL ONE

and then they have adventures, which mostly consist of boyd being like DEREK KING BETTER and derek being like BOYD TEACH ME TO KNIGHT and boyd being like NO YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE KINGING and derek being like BUT I’D RATHER BE KNIGHTING and boyd being like WELL I GUESS YOU LEARNED YOUR LESSON ABOUT PULLING STRANGE SWORDS OUT OF STONES, DIDN’T YOU

and then a bunch of sweaty outdoor sex, because like, for real, why pass up the opportunity for sweaty outdoor sex, like, can anyone come up with an argument against sweaty outdoor sex in their fiction because I FOR ONE CANNOT
