FINISHED THE THOR DRESS
Overall it took me about two and a half days, which is a little longer than I wanted but with all the problems I had still good. I may or may not go back in and add red fabric to the straps to make them wider, or maybe even turn them into flowing cap sleeves, but for now it’s done and I don’t even want to look at it anymore. [Edit: the more I think about it the more I like the cap sleeves idea, so that might just end up happening. It would certainly help hide my bra straps better.] XD I’m very proud of it, I’m just so ready to move on to the next project. ‘
Next is the Loki dress! Hopefully it’ll be easier because there are less alterations to the pattern that I need to make and it’s for someone else. If you don’t sew but you want to, just a warning: fitting yourself is hard, even if you pattern fit first. It’s just hard to get a good look at things. But since the next dress is for my twin things should hopefully go better. Yay! Also, better pictures to come of me wearing it that aren’t taken on an iPhone in a small mirror in a dark dorm room haha.
Oh and if you can’t remember or don’t know what dress I’m talking about, this is what I’m supposed to be making, art by robinade!
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SO AWESOME. Cape sleeves would be a brilliant addition. I should have thought of that! Alternatively, you could actually wear a real cape. That would definitely hide the bra straps XD
