Welcome! We’re thrilled to have you. Fic is awesome and we are glad you’re making it. However, the Archive’s tag system requires that you not use cutesy tumblr-type meta tags to have a conversation in the notes. This is both annoying, and actually fucks up the index.

I could rant here about metadata and what purpose it serves. But the upshot is— tag concisely and appropriately: characters, pairings, kinks, tropes. NOT your feelings, NOT inside jokes, NOT whole sentences of speculation or effusive love for your friends. Put that shit in the notes: thank your pals, thank your fandom, thank your beta. But DO NOT PUT IT IN THE TAGS. Then we can filter and sort and actually use those features, m’kay?
