Jordanian women in Amman protesting against the legislation of the Rape-Marriage Article 308 of the Jordanian Penal Code.

Article 308: is a law that allows rapists to walk free and exempts them from being prosecuted if they marry their victims. The campaign against Article 308 took momentum after a 19 year old man kidnapped a 14 year old girl and raped her for three consecutive days with the assistance of his family, was set free without being prosecuted.
